In 2006 Kent Stainless won the tender to supply and install the Information Display Arch for Waterford City Council(WCC). The information Display Arch is part of the re-development of Broad Street in Waterford city centre. The information Display Arch is a technological facility which acts as an information point and a main feature for the street. The electronic arch is a highly complex electrical installation consisting of LED screens, touch screens, illuminated maps, sound system, intruder alarm, Neon and general lighting.
Outline of the Project Requirements:
- Steel Structure to house both electrical and electronic equipment.
- Steel Structure to be finished in stainless steel cladding.
- Three Taper columns to be connected to the main structure.
- Cross members connecting the Taper Columns together.
- Each Taper Column to have lower and upper arms so to support banners.
- Projectors to be mounted on Columns to project image and information on to the banners.
- Stainless Steel cabling to support the lower and upper arms and the Taper Columns.
